Back to regular programming

Dear Diary,

Today I shall pester you with my overflowing ennui.

Several months ago, I was looking forward to this day. That's because Susan Miller promised me a bright career ahead by June. I now have a job. :) But before you and my friend Scott start telling me it's all the work of the ~Universe~, I would like to tell you I lent Fate my hand. I inquired about the job at the very start of the month, fulfilling the prophecy of a career boost. It was on impulse. Like I had a wash of realization in front of me as I watched Patti Stanger push a bunch of Bunny wannabes to her millionaire clients. I had a 'Eureka!' moment.

I applied the next day, and started climbing the ladder at the very next. If I continue on typing to you, I would probably be called out but I just missed you. It has been a whole week since I last used the computer at home, and now I have this space built for me (not really) at work which I constantly use for my own leisure - and yes, work-related activities. Right now I'm waiting for Susan Miller's (and a host of other websites like Astrology.com, Elle.com and even Yahoo!) other prophecy to take place - which is the arrival of a spark in my dead battery. Not that I'm in a hurry for the altar, but I'm saying I like the spark. Beyond that, it'll be the high road.

My Facebook is good as dead because I no longer log on. I have found my "way back into love" with reading books, and just the same as tending to animated farms (which I am proud to say I no longer do), I stay up late with the entertainment.

Because I have somehow patched things up with a friend, although it will leave quite an obvious scar, I am now feeling better since that day we tore things apart. Now I realize I'm using too much figures of speech. So my second biggest problem now is this huge cut on my finger. It's a miracle I still have the strength to type. See, last night I was excited to wash very few dishes and then for some moment of stupidity I was trying to open a packet of detergent with a knife (a move I never did before that!!) and I slashed my finger. Then I cried after a long time, not just because of the cut (but a lot of the tears was because of it), but because of the first sentence I started this paragraph with.

Anyway, my biggest dilemma right now concerns Chinese feng shui, I think. Something about first blood - that one which you spend all your first paycheck to. Technically speaking, my first paycheck will come this June 15, but it's half of the total, the rest of which will arrive by the 30th. The one million dollar question is: Do I spend all that I get from June15 and keep the June30, or do I wait until June 30 and spend all?

Top of the morning to you, too.
